I’m in Love, Introvert Style

Love_by_abbachibiIt’s Valentine’s Day, the day to celebrate love.

I have been in love with the same wonderful woman for more than twenty-five years.  Cee is my soul mate, and more so, if there is such a thing.  We’re both introverts, but so different from each other.  We need quiet time spent alone, and quiet time spent with each other.  She’s all mushy Celine Dion and Andrew Lloyd Weber, while I’m bluegrass and Celtic.  If there are two different ways to do one thing and end up with the same result, we’ll find them.  Life with her is an adventure, something magical, because she opens my eyes to so many possibilities.

I like words, hence this blog, while Cee prefers visual images, hence her popular photography blog.  We’re exploring what it means to be introverts together, and she thought up the question about photographers as introverts.  (Please come and take our survey.)

Together we’re writing a cooking blog:  Three’s Cooking.  I am learning to love cooking with more than two ingredients and Cee is a great baker.  Now she’s learning the nuances of photographing food, with me leaving her alone while she fusses over the composition of the shot.

We are also wife and wife, becoming legally married in Vancouver, Washington, USA on Cee’s birthday, 7 November, 2013.

We’ve been through almost all the ups and downs that life can throw at you, with our love just getting stronger every day.

Sometimes the best celebration of love is just acknowledging all the little things that make up life together.  I guess that’s what I’m doing now.

I hope all of you have a love even half as enriching as ours.

Lots of virtual hugs to everyone!

Offered in response to the WordPress Daily Prompt It’s Friday, I’m in Love.
