Saturday Stuff

whiteReding RoomI didn’t have anything planned for today’s post, so I thought I’d just pick up some odds and ends from during the week.

First off, I have to reblog Candidkay‘s contribution to the discussion of the introvert’s perfect house, which will include a reading room, of course.  She found a cool article in the Huffington Post.  Candidkay’s fave is #2, the green book lined nook.  Mine is #5, the white skylight loft.

Check them out and then vote:

And now, as promised, the new Keep Calm posters for all of us.  Some of the slogans didn’t fit in the template, but I got most of them.  If you want to create your own posters, you can do it at  Keep Calm-O-Matic.  Enjoy!

keep-calm-or-keep-your-distance-1Hi.  I’m Chris.  I’m an introvert.  Look for my ongoing series debunking the introvert myths (Sunday) and introvert cartoons (Wednesday), plus anything else interesting that I find in the meantime.  Come and share with like-minded introverts.  I also contribute to the new food blog Three’s Cooking, learning to cook from the heart, for the soul.

  1. Not only did I vote for #2, but I am looking at one half of my double closet and trying to figure out if that is possible. Not that apartment management would be happy about that, but still… 🙂

  2. Also liked the pink chair but it really needed an cushy ottoman to go with it and the Traditional would have been nice if the white window sites were wider with big comfy cushions. But the loft would still have been the first choice because it’s great to get away to the top.

  3. I’d be happy with any of those! I must admit I voted number one, (the green nook came pretty close) all those books available and a curtain to close myself off is my idea of heaven! 🙂

  4. Ugh! I can’t vote. I guess I have to say in my dreams. The closest if #6. But it needs to have the bright light and privacy of #5, the curtain in #1 and the bookshelves and pink chair in #7. The most interesting thing and proof I’m an introvert is when buying a home the first thing I put in is a window seat.

  5. hahaha! Happy Saturday, Chris. Thank you so much for the links here… we will be keeping calm and paddling on 🙂

  7. I went by the site & made my own “Keep Calm & Tiptoe On By” because I was so late reading your post (I got kidnapped by the Olympics & trying desperately to get caught up on my reading, while applying for disability, taking a Climate Change University Course online through the University of Exeter).
