As promised, I’ve been researching Happiness, that elusive state of being that all of us yearn for. I’ve found a free Science of Happiness class kicking off in September. Yes, I know that’s a long time from now, but what better time to dream about happiness than the present? That will give you three months to practice smiling before class begins.
“The Science of Happiness” is a free, eight-week online course that explores the roots of a happy and meaningful life. Students will engage with some of the most provocative and practical lessons from this science, discovering how cutting-edge research can be applied to their own lives.
It’s hosted by the Greater Good Science Center at the Berkeley campus of the University of California. What intrigued me about the course (other than it being free) is that it’s going to offer practical strategies to help you raise your happiness level. This is an on-line class open to anyone around the world. You don’t even have to be awake when the class is broadcast. You can view the archived sessions at your convenience. It’s perfect for all of us introverts.
