Here is my contribution to Share Your World for this week. (Scroll to the bottom for more info on SYW.)
Regarding animals would you prefer not having them around or having domestics pets, farm animals, or seeing them in nature or the zoo?
I love having our cats and dogs around and if we had more land we’d have chickens and alpacas, too. Maybe a horse. Who knows!
Are you a collector of anything?
Hhhmmm…. not really. Not any more. I used to collect all my favorite mystery authors but I finally downsized and got rid of tons of books, preferring the electronic versions now.
If you could know the answer to any question, besides “What is the meaning of life?”, what would it be?
With death of my mother, I would want to understand how she became the embittered, destructive person she was. Was it nurture? her parents weren’t like that when I was a child. Was it something that went awry in her mind or body? Where did her bigotry and paranoia come from? Did she learn it from someone? Her passing left a lot of unanswered questions for me.
If you were to treat yourself to the “finer things” what would you treat yourself to?
Someone to cook. Absolutely. Cook delicious vegetarian meals for me, and give Cee the occasional piece of meat. I’d also want a large enough piece of land to give her/him/them a comfortable guest house to live nearby.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful for some extra time I took off last week just to spend time with Cee. We went to see the irises and peonies and came back with four new peonies that we’re going to put in the front yard. I worked in the house putting up some new curtain rods and hanging drapes, cleaning inside and doing yard work. It felt good just to be doing things.
Next week… I look forward to getting the front lawn really wet so that our landscape people can come out the week after to dig up all the grass and put in our new plants. The fun thing about working from home is that they’ll be working right outside my office window. I’ll be taking plenty of photographs as the work progresses. The plants will still be small the first year but after that they should start taking off. We live in a temperate rain forest climate so things grow quickly with all of our rain. It’s exciting!
Share Your World info and link: Share Your World is a weekly challenge hosted by my spouse, Cee, at her photography blog. She started Share Your World years ago when she was running a number of challenges on a photography site similar to WordPress. The majority of photographers are introverts, and they needed a way to get to know each other. You don’t have to be a photographer to participate, though. Grab the questions and give us your answers.
Hi. I’m Chris. I’m an introvert. All of my postings tend to reflect my introvert world in some way or another. Join me and like minded introverts for a special slant on the world.
