Sharing My World – Week 38

redwoodsHere is my contribution to Share Your World for this week.  (Scroll to the bottom for more info on SYW.)

If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be?

A tree.  I love trees.  I’d be a gorgeous redwood like we have lining our street.

(Here is a funny story for all of you who know Cee and me… I just grab the questions each week.  I never read her answers until after I’ve posted mine.  So I answered this question and then wandered down the hall to her office to ask her for a picture of the redwoods that line our streets.  She started laughing, because that’s what she put as her answer.  I told that I’d just go steal her picture from her post, and that is what I’ve done.)

(Another note:  these are young trees, only about 30 years old or so.  That red thing in the bottom center is a full sized truck, to give you some idea of perspective.  If I can get her to find some more pictures, I’ll add them.)

If you could have a servant come to your house every day for one hour, what would you have them do?

I’m horrible at finishing things, so I’d have them finish all the little things I started.

If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?

Something tasty, nutritious and cooked by someone else.

What was one of your first moneymaking jobs (other than babysitting or newspaper delivery)?

Running a drill press, tapping nuts to put their screw threads in them.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for all the little things I did finish (see the above question) and I’m looking forward to the rain starting.  I love the rain and it’s been a long, dry summer.

Here’s another shot of the redwoods.  They are only about 40 feet tall, and in maturity they will be over 350 feet (107 meters) tall with trunks that measure 60 feet around.  Cee said that they are so large they’re hard to photograph and that I should take my wide angle lens and take my own pictures of them.  Maybe I will.

Share Your World info and link:  Share Your World is a weekly challenge hosted by my spouse, Cee, at her photography blog. She started Share Your World years ago when she was running a number of challenges on a photography site similar to WordPress.  The majority of photographers are introverts, and they needed a way to get to know each other.  You don’t have to be a photographer to participate, though.  Grab the questions and give us your answers.

Hi.  I’m Chris.  I’m an introvert.  All of my postings tend to reflect my introvert world in some way or another.  Join me and like minded introverts for a special slant on the world.
