Here is my contribution to Share Your World for this week. (Scroll to the bottom for more info on SYW.)
Wow, I can’t believe the year is almost over. It’s been a year of a lot of change for me, and I’ll be writing more about that soon. For now, though, I present my answers to this week’s Share Your World.
What is your favorite toppings on pizza?
My all time favorite is Hawaiian pizza (pineapple, Canadian bacon and cheese) and my second favorite is barbeque chicken. Yum. For those of you in the US, I just tried Papa Murphy’s gluten free crust and it is by far the best one out there. I don’t know how long they’ve had it, but I sure hope they keep it on the menu. It’s great.
I want to learn more about …
life. *sigh* After 62 years, you’d think I’d have a better grasp on such an elusive topic, but the longer I look at it, the more complex and incomprehensible it is. You’ll be hearing more about that soon, too.
What are three places you’ve enjoyed visiting?
Astoria, Oregon. Cee and I had a wonderful romantic get-away there once and it’s still one of the best places to go. We stayed at the Cannery Pier Hotel and were nicely pampered.
The redwood forest in northern California. We have redwoods right in our neighborhood, but ours are only about 30 – 40 years old, so they are still babies in redwood time, even if they do tower over everything around them. They’re in a residential setting, though, and seeing them on their native land is awesome.
Any place on the Oregon coast or along the Columbia River gorge. Oregon is the most beautiful place I’ve ever lived. I love it here in the Pacific Northwest.
Do you prefer eating the frosting of the cake or the cupcake first?
Actually, neither. I’d prefer a piece of coconut cream pie or a good cookie. Most cupcakes are way too sweet for me. We have a Mexican bakery in town and if I have a hankering for a treat, that’s where I go. They make great pastries that don’t throw you into a diabetic coma.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful for the new insight that has come to me this last week. I always like discovering new things about myself, and getting little glimpses into the future.
I splurged and bought myself a necklace. I don’t normally wear jewelry, especially metals because they usually bother my skin. My wedding band is the only thing I wear. But this spoke to me. The words say, “Do what you love, love what you do, and the world will come to you.”
What am I looking forward to? More of the same! Life is great, and filled with Infinite Possibilities.
Share Your World info and link: Share Your World is a weekly challenge hosted by my spouse, Cee, at her photography blog. She started Share Your World years ago when she was running a number of challenges on a photography site similar to WordPress. The majority of photographers are introverts, and they needed a way to get to know each other. You don’t have to be a photographer to participate, though. Grab the questions and give us your answers.
Hi. I’m Chris. I’m an introvert. All of my postings tend to reflect my introvert world in some way or another. Join me and like minded introverts for a special slant on the world.
