Tulip Fields Forever

As you probably saw from Cee’s blog, we went to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest on Sunday.  Forty acres of tulips in bloom!  Absolutely, incredibly beautiful.  I took a panoramic picture with my iPhone so I hope it loads well for you because it’s a large file.  You don’t realize how enormous the fields are until you look at the little tiny people in the picture.

I enjoyed playing around with my iPhone.  It takes decent pictures, and it’s only the iPhone 5c and not the newer 6.  We threw the picture up on our television and it still looked good.  That got me intrigued with buying some lenses for my phone.  Yes, there are such things.  I bought a package from Amazon for $40 USD.  It has four lenses (a 8x telephoto, macro, wide angle and fish-eye) plus a tripod.  Since I only do photography for the web, I don’t need the resolution Cee uses.  She blows some of her shots up to poster size.  You couldn’t do that with anything off a mobile phone.  So I’m hoping this little lens kit lets me play around with new shots.  I’ll give you a review once I’ve tried it all out.  If they work, they’ii be a wonderful travel camera kit.  Small and lightweight but versatile.

For those of you in so much of the US who doubt winter will ever end, it will.  Take heart.  The beauty of spring is right around the corner.
