Our Qigong teacher, Master Liu He, assigned Cee and I some clapping this week. It’s such an easy way to put a little energy and healing into your body that I thought I would share it. If you can clap your hands, you can do this simple healing routine.
Part !: Healing for the Heart
Put your hands together so that the fingers, palms and thumbs are touching. Clap 100 times. This brings healing to your heart.
Part 2: Connecting your Brain
Put your fingertips together and clap like that, with your fingertips only. Clap 100 times. This connects your brain with the rest of your body, which is always a nice thing to have going for you.
When you are done clapping, you should feel a lot of energy in your hands. This is your body’s qi (chi), it’s healing energy and life force. Put your hands on any part of your body that needs a little loving attention, like a sore knee or a headache. Just anywhere that is calling to you for a little soothing. Close your eyes and focus on the warmth in your hands. Visualize healing energy going into your body. Relax. Breathe deeply and slowly, until you feel the energy subside. Smile.
Take a couple of minutes to pamper yourself. You will love you for it.
Thanks to Cee for shooting my hands. I was looking for clip art until I suddenly remembered that we have four cameras and two smart phones in this house. See, those fingertip claps paid off!
