Need Your Help

IMG_1597

I have been having trouble locating good artwork to share with you.  It seems my normal sources are a little lacking.  I want pretty, bright, uplifting artwork with postive quotes.  I’ve been seeing good quotes but dark artwork.  Maybe it’s just me.  Maybe it’s the mood in the United States these days.  But for whatever reasons, I need your help.  If you have good quotes, please send them and I’ll ask Cee to make them into posters.  If you have a good source of graphics that you think I’d be able to use in Daily Sunshine, please send them or a link either in the comments below or by using my Contact Chris page above.  If you enjoy seeing an uplifting message every morning, you help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. A lot of my favourite quotes come from the writings of Thich Nhat Hanh. Just google Thich Nhat Hanh Quotes and you’ll get loads. I use them in posters for our meditation group. (I realise you’ll want a wide range of sources, I hope you can use this as one of them. 😊

    • I hadn’t thought of him, but he is quite quotable, that’s for sure. So is Rumi, as you can tell from the many times I’ve used him. Thanks for the good idea, Helen.

    • Yes, if I can sweet talk her into doing it. Putting together a nice piece requires time, especially the way she does it with exquisite type setting. I would love to use more of her photography, once I can find short enough quotes to put on it.

  2. And (I just thought of this one..don’t know why it didn’t occur to me before)…http://vbelleblog.com/ has a load of beautiful pictures of flowers, teapots, gardens…and sometimes they offer up sayings to go along with those. I’m sure Cee’s photos are superior…but those at VBelle are always unique. The woman at that site makes jewelry from broken china. Some photos are of her craft. You might enjoy the peruse anyway.

  3. Pixabay.com is a royalty free images site with high quality artwork. Browse through and just save which ones you like and then add relative quotes for each image. Hope that helps. You can also add a photo editor app on your computer or phone so that you can eventually add text with each photo/image. 😁

  4. I too love Pixabay, Graphic Stock is also good although there is an annual charge. My daughter is in DeviantArt and there are a lot of great artists posting there.
